A Two-Day Journey Through History, Nature, and Tradition in the Taurus Mountains

Beginning with arrival in Antalya, this two-day route offers a unique exploration from the timeless stage of the Aspendos Ancient Theatre to the depths of the Taurus Mountains; after lunch in Antalya, the journey continues to the Janissary Mansion accompanied by wild horses, where traditional Janissary soup and dinner are shared along with stories; the second day involves a nature walk among the buttoned houses of Ormana, and the journey concludes with an exploration of the fascinating underground world of the Altınbeşik Cave, a place with very few parallels in the world, via boat.

Day 1 | From the Ancient Scene to the Nomadic Lands

Our journey begins with our arrival in Antalya. Our first stop is the Aspendos Ancient Theatre, which has stood magnificently for thousands of years. We explore the theatre, its history echoing on the stone stage, and feel the spirit of this unique place.

After Aspendos, we'll take a short break for lunch in Antalya. Then we'll turn our route towards the Taurus Mountains and set off towards our Yeniçeri Mansion. Along the way, wild horses, reflecting the spirit of this region with their freedom, accompany us; the scenery gradually opens up to another time.

Upon our arrival at the mansion, we are greeted in the evening with a true Janissary tradition. Our evening soup and meal, prepared over a wood fire, are served along with Janissary stories. Tonight, we are not just staying overnight; we are guests in a tradition.

Day 2 | The Silence of Ormana and the Underworld

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we set off and begin our walking route around Ormana and the button-shaped houses in the surrounding area. This calm and timeless walk, nestled within the forest, allows us to get to know the architecture, nature, and traces of daily life of the region up close.

After our hike, we have lunch and then head to a natural wonder with very few parallels in the world: Altınbeşik Cave. This exploration, where we venture into the cave by boat, reveals the silence of the underground and the fascinating formations shaped by water. This experience becomes one of the most unforgettable moments of our trip.
